Coach Ronn Wyckoff started playing organized basketball at age 11 on a playground team in Orlando, Florida. He had his first coaching job at age 19, while in college, on a playground in Fresno, California. The coaching bug had bitten. It would become his passion and life-long vocation. Since those beginnings, Coach Ronn has spent more than fifty years in basketball, coaching youth basketball up through national teams, and as a player, lecturer, author, court-side commentator, and even refereeing. As an international consultant, his programs have reached hundreds of players and coaches around the world. He coached four national teams and has conducted national player camps. He averaged over 22 ppg, (before the advent of the 3-point line) in his fifteen year playing career. He played for three years in Sweden at the end of his playing career. In his forty-plus years of coaching, Coach Ronn coached boys, girls, men and women, from the playgrounds to national teams, and his teams won over 70% of their games. The international club teams he coached won over 80%. Ronn has also been a classroom teacher and spent seven years as an athletic administrator in high schools and with the YMCA.
