Conducting Great Meetings Audio Book by Dr Earl Paul

Become motivated to conduct successful business meetings with this detailed coaching program.

How many of you reading this attend meetings?
How many of you chair meetings?
How many of you wish that you knew the basics of Robert’s Rules of Order?
Finally, how many of you wish you could feel more confident, could be more knowledgeable and effective when conducting meetings?

Then look no further. This audio program will provide you with excellent tips and strategies you can utilize to insure that your meetings run more smoothly and make you look like a pro.

This program covers four key parts:

Pre-Meeting Planning
The Meeting Itself
Wrapping Up The Meeting
Parliamentary Procedures (using the basics of Robert's Rules of Order)

Each of the four topics is integral to running meetings successfully. The four components have unique characteristics that must be addressed. For example, focusing on the last section of the audio, Robert’s Rules of Order, many students will try to conduct business utilizing these rules when they have had little exposure to them. That, of course, can be “deadly” when all eyes are upon you. The actual Robert’s Rules of Order book is close to 700 pages in length; however, the majority of the book is never used … by anyone. Dr. Paul will explain the basics to you, which will give you the background to consider motions and get your organization’s business conducted. Some of the topics included are how to amend a motion, what business can be conducted when you do not have a quorum, what is Call the Question and when can it be used, what is the difference between a Point of Order and a Point of Information, and many other relevant topics.

This information-packed session will relay solid expertise you will need to become an effective meeting administrator. As with any topic, the basics do not just come to you; you must make a conscious effort to learn what you need to know to become more skillful. Listening and practicing the strategies conveyed in this audio program will aid you as you are involved in that learning process.

Knowing the basics of how to plan and manage meetings will “head off” problems before they occur. If you are presently involved in meeting planning or responsible for chairing meetings (or see that in your future), this program should be part of your audio library.

Dr. Earl Paul is an adjunct faculty member at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida, working in student affairs. He also works with students in the area of leadership and other student development areas. Along with his college career, he is a speaker, an author and a radio talk show host.  Some of his main interests have focused on leadership/character, goal setting/motivation, career areas, and effective speeches/presentations. He has done extensive reading and studying in these areas as well as utilizing principles he has applied in his own life. He has written about, developed and taught this information to students, faculty and the general public in a number of publications/conferences/presentations over the years
